SplashEng Spirit is a VR-based application that implemented visual and audio-associative learning techniques to help the user learn and familiarize with English words. This application created serval transform and physical interactions between the user and the objects that are set in a semi-realistic indoor scene coordinated in a parallel world in Hong Kong which this small secret room extracted and formed by English words instead of atoms, allowing users to interact with targeted objects in this immersive space. The user is acting as a high-end soul-extracting magician who can obtain and interpret the meanings and implications of different things. At this time, his/her vocation is to restore the faded and chaotic souls inside the objects to retrieve their owner spirit through splashing out their inner spirit (English Characters), collect all of them and throwing back to the door restorer by correct order, in order to retrieve their self-spirit for every object. Therefore, when the user is exploring the world, he/she can learn English words through first-person immersive interactions with the objects inside the magical English world.

The primary target audience for this application are young teenagers who come from non-English-speaking backgrounds, pre-educational children, and users with congenital or acquired, memorial and intellectual impairments. For users who love experiencing a fantasy world that formed by full of English characters, learning English words, and trying how to learn things through visual and audio-associative learning technique are also welcomed, which identified and formed our secondary targeted group of audience.
